Extraordinary women. Extraordinary music. One unforgettable concert experience with PEI's professional choir.
Renaissance Women explores the music of historical women composers, along with works by the top male composers who dominated their eras, demonstrating unequivocally that these women are every bit as talented, extraordinary, and deserving of hearing as the more famous male composers we all know and love. Featured composers include Kassia, Hildegard von Bingen, composers of sacred chant; Caterina Assandra, a contemporary of Claudio Monteverdi; Marianna Martines, duet-partner to Mozart; Imogen Holst, daughter of Gustav Holst; and others.

Back by popular demand, Locavore’ Delight II: The 100-Mile (Choral) Diet features contemporary choral music by Atlantic Canadian composers, including PEI composers Evan Hammell, Adam Hill, and Terry Pratt, as well as Kathleen Allan, Derek Charke, Emily Doolittle, and Peter Togni, among others, all based in or hailing from the four Atlantic provinces. We were very pleased last time to have the opportunity to showcase the incredible talent in our region, but there were so many wonderful works we didn’t have time to include last time - so we knew we had to do it again!
Luminos Ensemble is proud to showcase the best of PEI's professional choral talent.
Don't miss a single moment!
